Salen Pier House is an ideal location for divers
with access to the sea via its own private shingle slipway for boat or shore
dives. Many of our divers now
book the Peregrine based
at Lochaline. On arrival cars are parked at Lochaline, all kit is
loaded on to the boat and after a dive or two, guests are taken to Salen
Pier. A few more days diving and then return to Lochaline.

Sound Diver from
Lochaline Dive Centre
can be chartered. It has
a diver lift and an onboard compressor. Another dive charter vessel will
expand their business shortly. These vessels will pick up directly
from Salen Pier (your door!)
Lochaline and Tobermory provide
Air and the hire of boats.
A large covered log shed is available as
a drying area
with access to fresh water

SMART Diving
Sound of Mull Artificial Reef Project
New plans are
gathering pace for the sinking of a new wreck in
the Sound of Mull, with the recent formation of
SMART
– the Sound of Mull Artificial Reef Trust which
if successful will secure the Sound of Mull as
one of the top UK diving destinations for many
decades to come.
